Laundry Room

Goal: Functional, clean, bright and spacious

Really Clean

  • Machines, lids, and dust from dryers – on, over, and behind
  • Floors, walls and baseboards
  • Light switches and fixtures
  • Place dirty laundry in washer or a decorative laundry basket with a lid to hide the contents

Remove or Store

  • All items from counter tops
  • Any excess supplies – out of sight
  • All laundry that needs to be put away
  • Any excess hangers – eat up visual space and look messy
  • All pet items, including water dishes, kitty litter boxes and toys

Replace or Repair

  • Doors that do not swing/slide smoothly
  • Light fixtures that do not work, are dated or are too small
  • Flooring if needed
  • Trim or edging that may be damaged

Review & Detail

  • Be aware of smells, must odours and dampness
  • Laundry rooms and hallways should be well lit – buyers feel uncomfortable in dimly lit spaces

  • Comfortable laundry area
